What to do if you are struggling to pay your rent or other bills

If you are unable to pay your rent or are struggling to pay other bills, please contact your income team as soon as possible, as the earlier we talk to you, the easier it is for us to help. We may be able to make an arrangement for you to pay any rent arrears off over time or we could refer you to a specialist for free advice on money, debt or benefits issues.

We appreciate that it is sometimes difficult to talk about financial difficulties, but we are here to help you. Please do not feel embarrassed – we probably talk to people with similar difficulties every day.

Paying your rent

Why not set up a Direct Debit? It’s easy, safe and convenient and once a year we will send you £10 worth of vouchers.

Please contact your income team, who can set up a Direct Debit over the telephone. You will need your bank account details to hand.

You can also pay your rent using Allpay's 24 hour service, by calling 0844 557 8321, or you can visit www.allpayments.net
