If you have any gas appliances or solid fuels such as coal, wood or oil in your home, we will visit you once a year to inspect and service them.

Gas Safety Every year around 14 people in the UK die from carbon monoxide poisoning caused by poorly maintained gas appliances.

South Anglia Housing is required by law to complete a check on any gas or solid fuel appliances every year, to make sure that the appliances in your home are safe to use.

We take this duty very seriously and will take legal action against any residents who do not provide access for us to carry out this vital work. We may also claim back our legal costs from you if we have to issue court proceedings.

Please look out for the letters that we will send you to arrange an appointment for this work. We will normally contact you between six and eight weeks before the anniversary date of your last inspection to arrange a visit.
