Tenants Incentive scheme
UNDER OCCUPATION INCENTIVE
The Under Occupation scheme encourages MVHA tenants who are living in properties that are larger than they need to move to smaller homes. If you are a MVHA tenant and you qualify for the scheme. We offer £2,000 for the release of one bedroom and £5,000 for the release of two bedrooms plus.
THANK YOU PAYMENT
MVHA pays up to a maximum of £100 as a ’thank you’ payment to tenants who meet our conditions when ending their tenancy with us. These conditions are:
- leaving the property in a clean, well decorated and well maintained condition
- removing all possessions and any rubbish
- allowing access for inspections/asbestos and energy surveys, before you end the tenancy and hand the keys back
- providing access for prospective tenants to view the property before the tenancy ends
- returning all keys by the due date
- not leaving debts on gas and electricity meters
MVHA inspects the general condition, decorative order and any improvements or alterations residents have made to the property or garden. The payment may be used to offset any rent arrears or other debts you owe us, otherwise it will be paid by cheque.
DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT
Why not set up a Direct Debit? It’s easy, safe and convenient. In addition, MVHA credits £10.00 to residents rent accounts when residents pay their rent and other service charges by direct debit for the whole financial year, without any missed payments or other problems.
